Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson presents a well-reasoned, considered view of the Toyota Prius. All in all, his review seems a bit harsh. (Via Ace of Spades)
(There is a little America bashing in this video, so don't click if you really, really hate that sort of thing. On the other hand, they do shoot a Prius with a machine gun, so it balances out).

Notwithstanding the fact that I don't much care for the body design of the them, I would probably drive one. And, seeing as how I live in a metropolitan area, it would make sense. Once you get these babies on the freeway, I'm told they don't save you any money.
Actually, I would too. But it irritates me to see liberals raise the Prius to godlike status. It's not going to save the earth, it doesn't get out of this world gas mileage--it's a car, nothing more. Driving one doesn't make you a superior person.
What I found hilarious was the couple of times I saw a grotesquely obese person driving one.
I couldn't help but think to myself how ironic it was that they so cared for the environment but didn't give a damn that they were ridiculously overweight.
